That Was Fast! The Walking Dead’s Steven Yeun Got a New Gig

SPOILER ALERT: Read on only after you have already watched the beginning of The Walking Dead season 7 premiere, “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be.”

We knew Steven Yeun would land on his feet!

On Thursday, The Walking Dead’s beloved star stopped by Conan to discuss Sunday’s heartbreaking episode following his character’s brutal murder, and Yeun revealed that he already snagged a fun new gig.

“I got a new job already,” the 32-year-old actor told Conan O’Brien. “I actually stand-in for you at rehearsal.”

“You know what’s funny, I heard about this recently,” the host joked back. “I don’t come in for rehearsals, as you can tell. Andy and I are flown in by helicopter seconds before the show… They said someone was filling in for me, and it’s you?”

“Yeah, it’s me,” Yeun admitted.

The actor then gestured to the cameras to show the recorded footage of his time behind the wooden desk.

Enter a hilarious montage of Yeun making jokes at O’Brien’s expense, firing the staff, play the guitar, moussing his hair to perfection, giving himself a motivational speech and so much more.

The best part in the montage came when a special red head appeared alongside Yeun — The Walking Dead‘s second victim, Michael Cudlitz.

The Walking Dead airs Sunday’s (9 p.m. ET) on AMC.
