Hop in and buckle up, because the latest instalment of the seemingly everlasting Fast and Furious feud has arrived courtesy of Tyrese Gibson.
One person who's a little miffed about that news is Tyrese Gibson, who has been talking to TMZ, insisting that while he's not "hating" on Dwayne right now, he does think he's selfish.
When asked how he felt about the Hobbs and Shaw spin-off, Tyrese deadpanned: "Yeah, congrats to him. I don't know what they're doing.
"Everybody comin' at me like I'm hating on Dwayne about this spin-off, I'm not. The truth is, I just wish he was releasing it at a different time."
Explaining that the only time a Fast film had previously been pushed back was after the sudden death of Paul Walker, Tyrese asked: "What's the reason we're pushing that release date back now?"
He continued: "It appears that [Dwayne's] being selfish. It appears that he's so focused on furthering his own self-interest, he's making decisions from the seat that he's sitting in.
"Fast and Furious 9 is not coming out until 2020," he added. "It's f**ked up."
That is a long time to wait, but at least it looks like we'll have the Fast and Furious cast drama to keep us entertained for a while yet.
Fast and Furious 9 is scheduled for release on April 10, 2020.
