Miami-based burger mongrel Burger King might be buying Tim Hortons, a Canada-based coffee and doughnut chain and moving to Canada, reports CBS Miami. The possible merger would be what CBS refers to as a tax inversion, resulting in a potential tax cut for both companies as well as more opportunities for international growth.

But the article notes both companies "cautioned on Sunday that there was no guarantee a deal would happen, and it's not clear exactly how much a tie-up would reduce Burger King's tax costs." As for what moving the headquarters to Canada means for Miami and its employees, and how Burger King will change once partnered with Tim Hortons, no news yet. Stay tuned.
