What the fashion? Tom Brady gets mocked online for his Met Gala outfit

“It’s official. We’ve found the fourth amigo.” “It looks like Steven Seagal is his fashion consultant.” Tom Brady and his wife, Gisele Bündchen, put on their Met Gala best, or so they thought. Twitter goes all in on Brady for his outfit, and so do Newsroom readers. The New England Patriots QB showed up to the A-list gala, whose theme this year was “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination,” in a Versace tuxedo with a black turtleneck under a gold-embroidered jacket. Bündchen matched her husband in a glam gold Versace gown. Their looks were well-received by the fashion world, but social media had a different take. Fans on Twitter called out the NFL star: “Someone told Tom Brady that the Met Gala theme was ‘Every Nicolas Cage Villain from 1990-1997.’” Newsroom commenters also added their clever thoughts: “He looks like a matador.” Another reader wrote, “He looks like Prince Charming’s great uncle.” Brady later revealed that his wife had picked out their Met Gala outfits.
