In honor of Paris Fashion Week (March 3-11), Relaxnews caught up with Gosia Baczynska, who will showcase her Fall/Winter 2015-2016 collection on Thursday, March 5. The Polish designer shed light on her inspirations through a portrait composed of six questions and answers.
If you were a fashion faux pas, which one would you be?
I would probably be "it-is-never-too-much". Dominating minimalism is not for me.
If you were a supermodel wearing your designs, who would you be?
My friend Anja Rubik. She combines high class with intelligent provocation.
If you were a memorable moment in fashion?
I would be the 70s punk rebellion in London. Surprised?
If you were a key year/period in fashion history?
It is difficult for me to choose between two: one is aforementioned 70s punk rebellion in London, another New York of the 20s.
If you were a place related to fashion?
New York of the 20s or London of the 70s. My two favorite imagined places.
If you were a piece from the new collection?
I would be a gorgeous dress made of many geometric organza pieces hand-sewn together. It is a perfect combination of my fascination with new innovative fabrics and high-end craftsmanship, a result of long hours of work by hand with an avant-garde shape.
