After a sheep strayed away from the herd, this farmer picked up the animal in style — and the internet can’t stop laughing.

Instead of relying on a Australian Shepherd to get the job done, Mark Modra, who lives in South Australia, used a more mechanical means of getting his sheep back to the paddock. The father of four shared a photo on Twitter of a sheep buckled into the passenger seat of his car and wrote, “What you do when one finds a stray sheep and all you have is the family car……….just don’t tell my wife! #safteyfirst.”

Why wouldn’t he want his wife to know? Well, Modra had his children in the back. The farmer tells Yahoo that his spouse was away at the time, and he was in charge of his four children, who are all under the age of six.

When a neighbor phoned to say one of the animals had escaped, he had little choice but to bundle the family in the car and pick up the stray. “I couldn’t stick him in the boot because I’ve got child seats in there, the only place was the front,” Modra tells Yahoo. “We stuck her in there, I thought she might kick but she was fine.”

Modra said the animal was surprisingly well-behaved on the windy five-minute drive back to the sheep enclosure, and enjoyed listening to a variety of tunes from The Wiggles at the request of the children.

While he warned the Twittersphere not to tell his wife about the incident, he eventually confessed himself. “She just shook her head and said, ‘I hope my seat’s clean then!’” he recalls.
