Fareway Meat & Grocery plans fourth Kansas City-area location
Fareway Meat & Grocery aims to open a store in Basehor, which would be its fourth Kansas City-area location.
Fareway Stores Inc. plans to submit an application for a 21,000-square-foot full service grocery store and meat market, which would be the company’s first full-service store in Kansas, according to Progressive Grocer.

An Olathe location operates under the company’s Meat Market banner. In addition to its Olathe store, Fareway also has two stores in Kansas City.
Headquartered in Iowa, Fareway has been expanding all over the Midwest. It now operates 139 locations in seven states.
