Start — Jarvis Landry — Wide Receiver
With DeVante Parker out for this Sunday’s game against the Ravens, another receiver will need to step up in his place. Who better than Jarvis Landry. The number one receiver for the Dolphins, Landry has been overwhelmingly silent the last couple of weeks. Dealing with some minor injury issues, Landry has been out of the spotlight for far too long.
Needing someone to step up for the offense and the team’s sake, Landry is the man for the job. Getting Kenny Stills lined up for the deep routes, Landry can focus on those short-to-intermediate passes that he thrives at. Getting open in space, Landry is arguably the NFL’s best runner after the catch.
Heading north to Baltimore this Sunday, Miami is looking for its seventh straight win. If they accomplish that, look for Jarvis Landry to have had a big day. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya.
Drop — Jay Ajayi — Running Back
Struggling to run the football over the last few weeks, Jay Ajayi has now returned to his spot as a middle of the pack running back in fantasy football. Don’t expect that to change this week in Baltimore. While Ajayi definitely has a shot at a touchdown, his yardage will be nowhere near good enough to warrant a start.
However, unlike earlier in the season where a poor performance from Ajayi would cripple the Miami Dolphins offense, this problem seems to have been resolved thanks to a renewed success in the passing attack. With this said, I wouldn’t be shocked to see Ajayi be a drop for the remaining part of this season.
While there is a shot we do see a return to prominence this week for Jay Ajayi thanks to the return of two offensive lineman for Miami, I still doubt that he will have enough success to earn a start in Fantasy Football.
