Fans love the brilliant way Meredith and Olivia are a part of Taylor Swift’s 'Cats' casting
Swifties are loving the latest news about their favorite pop star right meow.
Taylor Swift has been cast in the upcoming movie version of Cats, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s classic broadway musical. Deadline confirmed that Swift, along with Jennifer Hudson, James Corden, and Ian McKellen, reportedly signed on. Tom Hooper, who directed the live adaptation of Les Misérables in 2012, will direct.
It didn’t take long for fans to put two and two together: Swift in Cats is downright purrrr-fect! The pop star is just a little more than obsessed with her own felines, Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson. The Scottish Fold cats have become quite the internet stars over the years, appearing not only on their mom’s social media accounts but also in several high-profile commercials, including AT&T.
So obviously Swift couldn’t exclude her babies from the big Cats announcement. On the same day the casting was confirmed, Meredith and Olivia quietly released their own product line, available on T.Swift’s online store.
The assortment of stickers, pouches, and more features the kitties in some of their cutest poses, including Olivia’s Insta-famous leg lift and Meredith’s IDGAF face.
Fans really appreciated the timing as well as the casting.
