Family of soldier killed in Pulaski County in 2011 still seeking justice

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. –  It has been 13 years since the death of decorated soldier Jason Jackson, and on the anniversary of his death, his family said they still do not have justice.

Darryle Hinton, one of Jackson’s family members, said not a day goes by they don’t think about him.

“We were hoping that justice would prevail before right now,” Hinton said.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office said Sergeant First Class Jason Jackson was found shot outside a home in the 16000 block of Arch Street on April 22, 2011. No arrests have been made.

“This day, the feelings are a little bit more intense, but we think about this every day,” Hinton said.

Hinton said Jackson was on the path to being a doctor, he was an instructor at Camp Robinson and served the United States Army for about 10 years.

“Just a fun-loving guy who loved life, he was only 28 years old,” Hinton said.

The family is offering a $10,000 reward for anyone with any information that could help create a break in the case.

“Do the right thing and turn yourself in,” Hinton said, “Come forward so we can bring this to justice.”
