Falcon 9 rocket scheduled to launch Thursday night

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — SpaceX is set to launch another Falcon 9 rocket Thursday from Vandenberg Space Force Base.

The rocket is scheduled to launch between 7:30 p.m. and 11:24 p.m. and will carry 22 Starlink satellites into orbit.

Cooling trend to bring breezy conditions, showers to Kern County

If the rocket lifts off earlier in the launch window, a massive portion of the southwestern U.S. could witness a plume of the rocket’s exhaust illuminated by the night sky. If the rocket launches at later evening hours, the exhaust plume could still be seen by the unaided eye though it will be less pronounced.
