Fairhope robbery at gunpoint leads to 2 arrests: FPD

FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WKRG) — Two teenagers were arrested after they allegedly robbed two men from Robertsdale at an unoccupied apartment, according to a Facebook post from the Fairhope Police Department.

The suspects, identified by FPD as 18-year-old Lorenzo Guzeman-Reyes of Fairhope and an unnamed 17-year-old, were arrested on robbery charges related to an incident that reportedly occurred on May 5 just after 1 p.m. at Spring Run Apartments.

According to the post, Guzeman-Reyes and the 17-year-old lured two men from Robertsdale to the Fairhope apartment complex by advertising an iPhone for sale on Facebook.

Once the men purchased the phone, Guzeman-Reyes and the 17-year-old allegedly threatened them with a firearm and robbed them of their wallets and phones.

“Subsequent investigations by Fairhope Police and the execution of search warrants at two locations led to the recovery of stolen items and a handgun reported stolen from another area,” the post said.

Guzeman-Reyes was charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary, according to the post.

The 17-year-old, who is unnamed due to being a minor, was reportedly charged as an adult with first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, and second-degree receiving stolen property.
