Fairhope man to serve 30+ years after producing child pornography: USDOJ

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Fairhope man has been sentenced to prison after he reportedly paid women to abuse minor children on video chat.

Senior United States District Judge Callie V.S. Granade sentenced 54-year-old Jeremy Dixon Kinsey of Fairhope to prison for the production of child pornography after he pled guilty to five counts of production of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography in January 2024.

According to court documents, although he pled guilty in 2024, the charges stem from incidents that happened in April and May 2023:

Kinsey reportedly sent money to women in exchange for WhatsApp video chats where the women were sexually assaulting minor children including a toddler-aged child at his discretion while he watched and recorded, according to the release.

Judge Granade imposed a 360-month or 30-year sentence of incarceration for the production counts and a 240-month sentence for the possession count. Kinsey will also be on a 15-year supervised release following his prison sentence.

He will also be required to undergo mental health evaluation and sex offender treatment and will be required to register as a sex offender upon release.

The case, which was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, was investigated by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Homeland Security Homeland Security Investigations.

Assistant United States Attorneys Beth Stepan and Kacey Chappelear prosecuted the case on behalf of the United States, according to the release.
