Fairfax County police arrest minor for abduction, sexual assault

RESTON, Va. (DC News Now) — The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) said a minor was in custody after an abduction and sexual assault took place in Reston on Monday evening.

FCPD officers were called to the 11900 block of Winterthur Ln. just before 11:30 p.m. for a rape. Police said that the suspect walked up to the victim, who is an adult woman, in an apartment building’s laundry room. He threatened her with a knife before sexually assaulting her.

Police said that detectives identified the minor and arrested him. FCPD said that the woman recognized him from the area but did not know him.

Police charged the minor with rape, forcible sodomy and abduction with the intent to defile. He was held at the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center on no bond.
