"To the woman at the park, looking at her phone, ignoring her children, I salute you," Hall writes. "For not giving into the public perception that you should be switched on, 24 hours a day. For giving no fucks about what 'constable mother's group' thinks."

Hall tells women they are coping just fine, no matter the depth of the struggle they are facing. "Too often strength and weakness are confused, strength is asking for help. You are so strong. So many women are going through the exact same thing, they just don't talk about it," she writes.

So feel like eating that cake? Then just do it. "A brand new 24 hour job that doesn't pay and won't end for around 20 years is NOT a good time to give up cake," Hall writes. Instead, she encourages them to just "eat the cake, eat the whole fucking cake."

The post at the time of writing has attained more than 253,000 likes, more than 120,000 shares, and more 12,000 comments — with many expressing their gratitude at the honesty.

That says it all, really.
