Users of Facebook and Instagram were unable to access the social media websites Tuesday morning.

According to DownDetector, the issue is starting to come to an end, as users for both platforms experienced outages all over.

According to DownDetector, Facebook and Instagram appear to be returning for most users despite no official timetable announcement for repairs.

Was Facebook down today?

According to DownDetector.com, there have been 20,668 reports of Facebook issues reported at 12:11 p.m. ET.

The number of outages is currently falling. The peak was 581,224 outages reported at 10:26 a.m. ET.

Reports indicate 76% citing login errors, 16% app issues and 8% website problems.

Was Instagram down today?

According to DownDetector.com, there have been 4,200 reports of Instagram issues reported at 12:13 p.m. ET.

The number of outages is currently falling. The peak was 91,997 outages reported at 10:28 a.m. ET.

Reports indicate 60% citing app issues, 27% feed problems and 13% login issues.
