FAA issues a ground stop for all Alaska and Horizon flights

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — The Federal Aviation Administration issued a ground stop for all Alaska and Horizon flights Wednesday morning, including out of San Diego International Airport.

Thousands of SDG&E customers wake without power

Alaska Airlines said, in a statement to FOX 5/KUSI, that it experienced “an issue while performing an upgrade to the system that calculates the weight and balance” of their aircraft.

The ground stop was in effect starting around 7:30 a.m. and ended an hour later.

The airline encouraged travelers to check the status of their flights on the Alaska Airlines website or app.
