FAA holding hiring event for air traffic controllers at Olive-Harvey College

CHICAGO — The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is holding a hiring event for air traffic controllers as the agency seeks more of them.

The agency is hosting the event at Olive-Harvey College on Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

FAA staff will be available to help complete applications and answer questions. The agency said they are 3,000 air traffic controllers short of their staffing goal.

They plan on hiring 1,800 new controllers this year and 2,000 in 2025.
