Ezekiel Elliott Withdraws His Appeal

A war that remained in the background, but found its way into the forefront of Ezekiel Elliott’s career, is now over against the NFL as his agents, Rocky Arceneaux and Frank Salzano, release a statement to ESPN analyst Ian Rapoport:

What stole 17 months worth of headlines finally comes to an end, and probably for good reason. Though a misleading title might get attached to his identity by the stubborn and ignorant, it makes sense. At the earliest, his appeal of the case was going to be heard on Dec. 1, in which he would have already missed four games. More time would have to be focused on this, the favor fell out of his hands when the judge denied his latest temporary stay, and although Brady’s battle was recent, the magnitude to which this case reached, put the NFL in a bad spot either way.

And that is exactly what it did. There was a gain throughout this whole endeavor that even has Jerry in binds with the league, and could potentially fallout within the next lockout. For Ezekiel, he will be able to return onto the field on Dec. 24 against the Seahawks, as he takes this time to clear his mind and train overseas.
