A large power station in Russia’s Rostov Oblast, the Novocherkassk GRES, was likely attacked by drones overnight on March 25, BBC reported.

Approximately 20 drones were spotted flying over the Rostov Oblast before explosions were reported in the Novocherkassk GRES power plant area, Russian Telegram channels wrote.

Reports on social media indicated smoke was visible in the area, and emergency vehicles were seen driving toward the power station located outside of Novocherkassk city.

"In some places, the power was cut off for several minutes," the This is Rostov Telegram channel claimed.

Kharkiv was left without power. The city also experienced problems with water and heating supply.

Russians launched at least 20 missiles towards Zaporizhzhya. The strikes hit the Dnipro hydroelectric station at least eight times, damaging support beams, crane structures, and sparking a fire at the plant.

The attack on Dnipro HES has resulted in the inability of HES-2 to operate for a certain period or to function at full capacity, as the turbine hall and electrical equipment must be completely restored.

The attack caused the loss of 20% of regulating capacities, with some equipment being irreparable, Ukrhydroenergo reported.

Critical infrastructure objects in Kryvyi Rih were attacked, resulting in scheduled power outages in the city.

Energy facilities were also damaged in the Odesa Oblast.
