Explosion reported near air field in Russia's Krasnodar Krai

An explosion was heard near the Primorsko-Akhtarsk air base in Russia's Krasnodar Krai, the Russian publication Baza said on Telegram on July 2.

As a result, a huge crater was reportedly formed on the spot.

Russians use this base to launch Iranian-made Shahed drones for attacks on Ukraine.

According to the media, the size of the crater is 10 meters in diameter and about 4 meters in depth.

The explosion occurred 200 meters from a local airfield.

According to another propaganda media outlet Mash, the explosion occurred due to an attempt to attack a warehouse on the territory of the military airfield.

Yet, no official reports on the incident have been made.

The Russian media said there were no injuries.
