Expect hot temperatures this Mothers Day weekend throughout Kern

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The weather leading up to Mother’s Day Sunday will consistently remain well above average.

On Sunday afternoon, we can expect some seriously high temperatures, about 12 degrees hotter than usual! It’s going to be sizzling in certain areas of Kern County, with temperatures in the low to mid-90s.

On Friday afternoon and early evening, there’s a chance of some intense thunderstorms hitting the Sierra Nevada and the northeastern part of Kern County’s mountains and desert. But that’s not all! From Monday to Friday, it’s going to stay hot out there.
