When to expect Gaston County's graduation ceremonies

Seniors across Gaston County will walk across the stage and receive their diplomas later this month.

Here is a list of high school graduation dates and times for the Gaston County Schools class of 2024:

May 16

Early colleges graduation will be held Thursday, May 16, in the Meyers Center at Gaston College’s main campus in Dallas.

According to the district, this will be the first graduating class of the Gaston Early College of Medical Sciences.

The graduations will go as follows:

Gaston Early College of Medical Sciences at 5 p.m.

Gaston Early College High School at 6:30 p.m.

May 22

On Wednesday, May 22, three Gaston schools will end the school year and celebrate their graduates.

Those schools include:

  • Gaston Virtual Academy, with a ceremony starting at 9 a.m. to be held at the Gastonia Conference Center.

  • Webb Street School, with a ceremony beginning at 11:30 a.m.

  • Warlick Academy with a ceremony beginning at 2 p.m.

May 24

On Friday, May 24, several schools will host graduation ceremonies beginning at 6 p.m.

Those schools include:

  • Ashbrook High School

  • Bessemer City High School

  • Cherryville High School

  • Stuart W. Cramer High School

  • East Gaston High School

  • Forestview High School

  • Highland School of Technology

  • Hunter Huss High School

  • North Gaston High School

  • South Point High School
