Expect delays on Bridge Boulevard May 20 through May 22

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – County officials say drivers should expect delays on Bridge Boulevard as crews begin gas line work. Construction times are set to avoid rush hour.

New Mexico to use over one fourth of opioid settlement fees on outside lawyers, according to LFC

The New Mexico Gas Company is working to connect a new gas main, Bernalillo County says. To do so, traffic patterns and signals will be adjusted as follows:

Bridge Boulevard:

  • Eastbound and westbound Bridge Boulevard at 5 Points Road SW will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

  • Eastbound Bridge Boulevard travelers will not be allowed to turn left onto northbound Sunset Road SW.

  • Westbound Bridge Boulevard travelers will not be allowed to turn left onto southbound Sunset Road SW.

Sunset Road SW:

  • Northbound and southbound Sunset Road at 5 Points Road SW will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

  • Northbound Sunset Road travelers will not be allowed to turn left onto westbound Bridge Boulevard.

  • Southbound Sunset Road travelers will not be allowed to turn left onto eastbound Bridge Boulevard.

5 Points Road SW:

  • Eastbound 5 Points Road SW travelers will not be allowed to travel east on Bridge Boulevard or travel north or south onto Sunset Road.

  • Westbound travelers will be allowed to travel north onto westbound 5 Points Road SW.

Work is scheduled to take place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Work is set to begin Monday, May 20 and might extend into Tuesday and Wednesday, the county says.
