Ex-Kannapolis school staffer charged with child sex crimes: PD

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – An ex-Kannapolis school staffer is facing child sex crime charges following an investigation, Kannapolis Police confirmed with Queen City News on Monday.

Jordan Correll, 29, was arrested on Sunday and is being held on a $1 million bond and is awaiting trial

An investigation was launched after information was received last Monday regarding Correll, who is a former A.L. Brown High School faculty member, having an inappropriate relationship that included sex acts with a 15-year-old student.

Following the investigation Correll was arrested and now faces charges that include four counts of indecent liberties with a child and statutory sex offenses.

His next court appearance is on April 15th.
