Ex-boyfriend of Brenleigh Kitchens sentenced to life imprisonment

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The ex-boyfriend of 20-year-old Brenleigh Kitchens has received a life sentence in connection to her murder in 2021.

According to Richmond County District Attorney Jared Williams, Jaden Ross, 20, plead guilty to Malice Murder and Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Crime.

Authorities say Kitchens was shot at least once in the head and was placed on life support, but she succumbed from her injuries the following day of the shooting.

According to authorities, Ross was arrested in connection with the crime just hours after the shooting and was denied bond by a Richmond County judge.

Ross’ sentencing took place on Tuesday, and he was sentenced to Life Imprisonment, according to District Attorney Williams.
