Event worker directing traffic in Franklin County injured after being hit by vehicle

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– A worker doing traffic control for an event in Franklin County Saturday was sent to the hospital after police say he was struck by a vehicle.

Chambersburg Police said in a news release a vehicle was making a turn when they hit the pedestrian who was then taken to the hospital.

Police responded to the intersection of N Main Street and West King Street for a pedestrian accident just before noon, according to the release.

There was a special event going on downtown that the worker was directing traffic for when they were hit by the vehicle, police say.
