Even Leonardo DiCaprio Gets A Bit Emotional When He Sees A Real-Life Da Vinci Painting

From Esquire UK

Fresh pleasures are hard to come by if your name is Leonardo DiCaprio. The edge of life begins to dull when every front seat and flavour of vape capsule is but a click of your manicured fingers away. The yachts don't ride as smoothly anymore; the truffles have grown sickly on the gilded platter.

But there is one enjoyment that even the most-stimulated man on earth can still appreciate: a nice bit of art by his namesake, Leonardo da Vinci, whose Salvator Mundi yesterday sold for a fairly impressive £400 million.

In a video portrait taken by Photographer Nadav Kander, we see Leo (plus some plebs) gaze deeply into the eyes of the 500-year-old portrait of Christ as Salvator Mundi (Saviour of the World), the last privately-owned piece of the artist's work, which, in 2005, was discovered at a small auction in the United States, having long been mistaken for a copy.

Fresh off the jet, goateed and glorious, it's Leo and Leo. One is the defining artist of his generation, the other did a bit of painting and invented the helicopter.
