Evansville Chicken and Wing Festival

The Evansville Chicken & Wing Festival is Saturday, March 30, from 1-7 p.m., at the Main St. Food & Beverage Food Hall. Enjoy a variety of wings and other chicken dishes. Look for a dozen vendors offering more than 50 kinds of wings, live music from Soul Pocket from 1-5 p.m., a wing-eating competition, bobbing for wings, a hot sauce chug and a ranch chug, a cash bar and beer garden, dessert vendors, games, cornhole and more. Tickets start at $10 per person. Kids 10 and under enter free.

Germania Maennerchor fish fry

The Evansville Germania Maennerchor will hold a fish fry on Friday, March 29, beginning at 5 p.m. On the menu will be two fried fish filets with Nisbet Inn German potato salad or American potato salad, creamy coleslaw, baked beans and rye bread. The price is $13 per person. Cookies will be for sale.

Farmer and Frenchman Easter carry-out meal

The Farmer and Frenchman winery and restaurant is offering a carry-out Easter meal that feeds six to eight people. It will include a seven-pound pork roast with brown gravy, potatoes au gratin, macaroni and cheese, collard greens, glazed carrots, a dozen yeast rolls and a triple chocolate trifle for dessert. The price is $200. Supplies are limited. Pickup will be at the Farmer and Frenchman restaurant on Saturday, March 30, between 11 a.m. and noon. Order at farmerandfrenchman.square.site,

Pancake breakfast for Hadi Shrine

The Hadi Shriners will serve an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast on Saturday, March 30, from 7-10 a.m. on the second floor of the Hadi Temple. Entrance is $10 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under at the door. Breakfast includes a beverage.

Speakeasy opens on March 28

Hush on Main will officially open on Thursday, March 28. Hush is a speakeasy-theme bar and restaurant with cocktails and a full bar, shareable plates, desserts and more. Call for early-evening reservations for parties of 5 or more. Some menu items will be baked goat cheese in marinara with pita triangles, soft pretzles with Guinness beer cheese, meatballs with chimichurri sauce, and stone oven pizza.

Easter Brunch at The Plaza

The Old National Events Plaza will offer an Easter brunch in the ballrooms on Sunday, March 31, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. On the menu will be classic breakfast offerings, pastries, fresh fruit with yogurt dip, deviled eggs, smoked salmon, shrimp cocktail, an omelet and waffle station, salad bar, hot entrees including fried chicken and fish, a lamb carving station and assorted desserts.

A kids' buffet area will have favorites such as chicken tenders, Kraft mac and cheese, and mini corn dogs. Tickets are $45 for adults and $15 for kids ages 3-12. Bottomless mimosas and bloody marys may be added for an additional $10.

Penny Lane Coffeehouse opening second location

Penny Lane has announced it will be opening a second coffee shop in the former Wendy's building just off Boonville-New Harmony Road and U.S. 41. The name will be Penny Lane North. There will be a drive-through and food offerings, but not necessarily the same food offerings as at the Downtown Penny Lane. An opening date has not yet been shared.

Easter buffet at Robert's by the River

Robert's by the River will host an Easter buffet on Sunday, March 31, from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. On the buffet will be breakfast classics, fried chicken, pot roast, ham, and baked fish with sides including mashed potatoes, candied carrots and more. A variety of desserts will include apple pie, chocolate cake and fresh fruit salad. The cost is $22 for adults and $10 for kids.

Easter brunch at the Stone City Grill

The Stone City Grill inside the Doubletree by Hilton hotel will offer an Easter brunch on Sunday, March 31, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The large spread will include a breakfast bar with breakfast staples, an omelet station, shrimp and grits and breakfast pastries; a salad bar; hot entrees including Asian Chicken with honey ginger almond sauce, pasta marinara with meatballs and roasted pork loin with mushroom sauce; assorted breads and rolls; and desserts including mini pastries, chocolate-covered strawberries, cookies, fruit and more.

Thai Chow to reopen in April

Thai Chow in Fort Branch, Indiana, has announced on social media that the restaurant, which has been closed while owner and chef Wan Reinhart has been celebrating her 85th birthday in Thailand, will be reopening on Tuesday, April 2. Thai Chow does a brisk business in carry-out Chinese food and serves authentic Thai food as well. Call ahead to order Thai food, as Wan does not always keep ingredients on hand. Seating space is very limited, so if you'd like to dine in, call ahead and make a reservation. The restaurant accepts cash only. Grand Easter Buffet at Red Geranium

The Red Geranium restaurant in New Harmony, Indiana, will be hosting the annual Easter Grand Buffet on Sunday, March 31, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the New Harmony Inn Conference Center. On the menu will be appetizers including devilled eggs, popcorn shrimp and fried cauliflower and appetizer platters with cheeses, fruit, salads and smoked salmon; an omelet station and nacho station; hot entrees including turkey with gravy, herb crusted prime rib, Cajun fried chicken, shrimp scampi and much more; and a selection of desserts. Tickets are $38 for adults, $15 for kids 6-12, and kids 5 and under eat free.
