Eufaula Police arrest and charge man with burglary and sexual abuse after April 23 incident
EUFAULA, Ala. (WRBL) – The Eufaula Police Department said a man was arrested over the weekend for his alleged involvement in an April 23 incident after officers spotted him hiding in an apartment complex.
Police say 23-year-old John Henry Avery III from Eufaula was arrested after officers noticed Avery III at Hilltop Apartments. Avery III attempted to hide in different areas of an apartment building, but Eufaula Police says officers were able to find Avery III.
Following Avery III’s arrest, police charged him with first-degree burglary and first-degree sexual abuse.
The police department also shared a statement on Facebook that Eufaula Police remains committed to maintaining a safe community.
