ETSU’s spring football practice starts Monday

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) – The Bucs are gearing up for the return to the gridiron under the leadership of new head coach Tre Lamb.

East Tennessee State University’s (ETSU) football spring practice begins Monday.

The Bucs will practice 14 times ahead of the Ballad Health Spring Game on April 19 at 7 p.m., according to the university. The Spring Game is held at the Bank of Tennessee Field at William B. Greene, Jr. Stadium.

The team’s first full-padded practice is set for April 2. Two scrimmages will be played before the Spring Game on April 6 and April 12.

The Bucs are looking to bounce back in the upcoming season after two back-to-back 3-8 seasons. The 2024 football season kicks off at Appalachian State on Aug. 31 with the first home game against UVA Wise slated for Sept. 7.
