ETSU’s Day of Giving fundraiser will kick off with 12-hour stream-a-thon

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) – East Tennessee State University (ETSU) announced its annual Day of Giving fundraiser will be on Tuesday, April 16.

Day of Giving is a 24-hour online fundraising event that funds ETSU programs, scholarships and projects.

This year, ETSU’s Esports will host a 12-hour stream-a-thon event to raise awareness for the fundraiser. The event will be held at ETSU’s D.P. Culp Student Center Cave, and Esports will also stream on Twitch and YouTube.

Donations can be made to the following areas, according to the university’s website:

  • President’s Office

  • University Programs

  • Marching Bucs Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

  • Roan Scholars Leadership Program

  • Alumni Legacy Scholarship

  • College of Arts and Sciences

  • College of Business and Technology

  • College of Clinical and Rehabilitative Health Sciences

  • Clemmer College of Education and Human Development

  • College of Graduate and Continuing Studies

  • Honors College

  • Intercollegiate Athletics

  • Martin Center for the Arts

  • Quillen College of Medicine

  • College of Nursing

  • Gatton College of Pharmacy

  • College of Public Health

  • Sherrod Library

  • Student Life and Enrollment

This year’s goal is to exceed the $359,000 raised in 2023. The fundraiser has currently accumulated over $83,000 and will close at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
