Estonia announced the transfer of two patrol boats to Ukraine on April 26, ahead of the Contact Group on Defense Matters for Ukraine (Ramstein) meeting, Estonia's Defense Ministry reported on X.

The handover will take place in coordination with Denmark.

The boats will help Ukraine secure its maritime routes and protect its waters from Russia, Estonia said.

Discussions at the 21st Ramstein format meeting on April 26 will focus on resolving issues related to the six-month delay in military aid approval in the U.S. Congress.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized the need for "fully equipped packages with necessary weaponry" and logistical support.

The previous Ramstein format meeting was held on March 19 at the eponymous U.S. military base in Germany.
