Escatawpa Hollow Park & Campground Beach Access reopens: Officials

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — Officials say the Escatawpa Hollow Park & Campground Beach Access has reopened.

“Just in time for the Memorial Day holiday weekend!” a press release said.

The reopening comes after officials announced the Escatawpa Hollow Park & Campground Beach Access was temporarily suspended due to swift and high water conditions.

According to the release, the access reopened since the Escatapa River at Wilmer has “returned to safe water levels.”

The release notes that “Escatawpa Hollow Park & Campground, an approximately 230-acre Mobile County park, is open for limited day use and RV camping.”

Further, the release said Phase 1B of construction is set to begin soon, and no day-use fees are being collected.
