Escaped work release inmate captured in East Feliciana Parish

EAST FELICIANA PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) — Deputies captured a West Feliciana Parish work release inmate on Saturday morning after he was reported missing Friday night from his assigned work location.

East Feliciana Parish deputies captured Landon Hisaw, 36, of Baton Rouge, around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 13.

East Feliciana Parish Sheriff Jeffrey Travis released the following statement on the capture:

“Last night at around 8:30, I was notified by the West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office that one of their work release inmates who was working in our Parish had left his assigned job and was unaccounted for. I instructed my deputies to search for the inmate and through their diligence they were able to locate him this morning about half a mile from where he was last seen.

Hisaw was booked into the East Feliciana Parish Prison for simple escape, according to EFPSO.
