Escaped Inmate Apprehended After Search

Raymond Aguero, 28, was in jail on charges of unlawful carry of a weapon, driving while intoxicated, and burglary of a vehicle.

DALLAS, TX -- Dallas law enforcement officers have captured a 28-year-old inmate who had escaped nearly a week ago. Raymond Aguero, who was being held on a laundry list of non-violent charges, was arrested by Dallas Police Thursday evening at an apartment in Pleasant Grove, the Dallas Sheriff's Office tweeted.

Aguero had escaped after jumping over a gate near the rear dock of the Dallas County Jail nov. 9 at 7:15 p.m., the Dallas Morning News reported.

Aguero was being held on the following charges, according to CBS DFW: Evading Arrest, Resisting Arrest, Bond Forfeiture – Unlawful Carry of a Weapon, Affidavit to Go Off Bond / Manufacture or Deliver of Control Substance PG/1 over 3 grams, Bond Forfeiture / Driving While Intoxicated and Bond Forfeiture / Burglary of a Vehicle.

Aguero is being held at the Dallas County Jail.
