Escambia County traffic crash: 2 drivers injured : FHP

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Two drivers were injured after a Wednesday morning crash involving a school bus, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

I-10 traffic delays expected for two to three hours after standoff with murder suspect

An FHP report notes the crash happened around 9:20 a.m. Friday on U.S. 29 (State Road 95)/ County Road 297 (W Roberts Road).

Two vehicles were involved in the crash, according to the report: a pickup truck and a school bus.

Officials say the crash happened when the pickup truck failed to yield to the school bus that was travelling northbound on U.S.-29.,when crossing the northbound lanes of U.S.-29. As a result, the release notes that the front of the pickup truck collided with the right side of the school bus.

No students were onboard the bus when the crash happened, according to reports.

The driver of the pickup, a 62-year-old from Milton was taken to Baptist Hospital with minor injuries, and the driver of the school bus, a 55-year-old Molino man, was taken to West Florida Hospital with minor injuries.
