Escambia County drug house shut down, 1 in custody

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says it has another drug house closure in the books.

The ECSO Narcotics Unit and SWAT Team served a search warrant Thursday on the 1400 block of Sturbridge Place, according to a Facebook post.

Deputies reportedly found 45 grams of fentanyl, 337 grams of methamphetamine, 18 grams of MDMA, and two handguns at the location.

Michael Anthony Watts, 37, of Pensacola, was reportedly arrested during the search warrant.

He is charged with trafficking fentanyl, trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking MDMA, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

According to the Escambia County Jail View, Watts is also being charged with marijuana possession.

He has a court date set for April 19.
