A press release from FDACS said they are closing the harvest area at sunset on Wednesday, May 1, due to a sewage spill.

This will close the harvest area so that people cannot harvest shellfish including oysters, clams, and mussels. “In this context, shellfish does not include scallops, shrimp, or crabs,” the release said.

The only county affected is Bay County, according to the release.
