Erie County restaurant inspections for March 22 to April 4, 2024

At least once a year, Erie County Department of Health officials inspect all restaurants and stores that sell unpackaged food. Here is a list of violations recorded March 22 through Thursday.

5 critical violations

Fortune Garden, 1210 W. 26th St. (Rodent droppings found in two places; sanitizer in use on equipment/utensils; ready to eat food not date marked; no paper towels at hand sink; person in charge no adequate knowledge of food safety.) Also five noncritical violations. March 27.

4 critical violations

Gary's Superette, 4703 East Lake Road, Harborcreek Township. (Fresh eggs not properly labeled, cooler holding food at 55 degrees; employees' open beverage cans in the prep area; certified food employee not person in charge.) Thursday

2 critical violations

Country Fair, 5866 Station Road, Harborcreek Township. (Mouse droppings found throughout facility, balogna out of date.) March 25

Harborcreek GetGo, 4307 Buffalo Road, Harborcreek Township. (Expired milk found in cooler, mouse droppings found at back exit.) Also one noncritical violation. Tuesday

One critical violation

Chipper's Seafood and Southern Fusion, 1023 State St. (Raw chicken found at 48 degrees.) Also one noncritical violation. March 22
