Equine vaccination clinic set for Saturday

Mar. 19—An equine vaccination clinic is set for Saturday in the parking lot near the Curry County Cooperative Extension office at the Curry County Fairgrounds.

"It'll be southwest of the Events Center from 8 a.m until it's complete," County 4-H Agent Kandy Hutchins said.

Hutchins provided an event flier that noted the event is open to the public from "all counties" with a portion of the proceeds going to the Curry County 4-H Horse Project.

"We have a vet, Sara Loya, from Bar S L Veterinary Services of Stanley, New Mexico, who has offered her services with no appointment necessary," Hutchins said.

The event flier noted the clinic will be offering:

— Equine flu vaccine $35

— Equine core vaccine $53.60

— Equine microchip $55

— Equine coggins $35

— Equine bloodwork $120

Also available by request if time allows:

— Equine chiropractic adjustments $120

— Equine dental floating $125
