UPDATE: Fire on Cheyenne Mountain contained to one acre

UPDATE: MONDAY 5/6/2024 2:05 p.m.

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Broadmoor Fire Department said it received the call at around 8:20 a.m. for the fire on Transmitter Lane on Cheyenne Mountain. The fire was contained to less than one acre and to what the Broadmoor Fire Department said was the point of origin.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) said wildland fire units were dispatched to a fire on Cheyenne Mountain on Monday, May 6.

According to EPSO, at around 9:30 a.m. Wildland Fire was responding to a fire on Cheyenne Mountain, with Broadmoor Fire Department in command of operations.
