The Bad Boys are officially back for part four, and the new era will be revealed sooner than you think.

The beloved franchise’s co-stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence shared a collab post on Instagram that confirmed shooting for the action film is done. “WRAPPED! Nothin’ but Magic every time I’m with my guy. See y’all June 7 for @BADBOYS 4!!” reads the caption.

Bad Boys, the American cop action/comedy film series, kicked off in 1995 and became a staple in the culture. It stars Smith and Lawrence as two detectives in the Miami Police Department, Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, respectively. Its fourth iteration has been teased since 2020, with shooting beginning in 2023. Additionally, Vanessa Hudgens is also set to reprise her role as weapons expert Kelly.

Last year, Lawrence uploaded vlog content to his Youtube channel to hold fans over in the meantime. In one post, he links up with Smith and they hype up how good the forthcoming film is going to be.

In the clip, Will pulls up to his co-stars house, opens the door, and exclaims, “Bad Boys four life!” as he holds up four fingers. The two then go into a hilarious back and forth about how they shouldn’t have named the third movie a title with “four” in it (Bad Boys For Life), because it would have been way more suitable for this fourth iteration.

“Dude, your sh*t is hilarious in this movie,” the Hitch actor continues as a spoiler alert sign flashes across the screen. “His character has a (bleep) and he sees (bleep) and Mike Lowrey is like (bleep), what? It’s gonna be hilarious. It’s hilarious.” Check out their Instagram post above and the Youtube clip below.
