The 2024 People’s Choice Awards were handed out Sunday night.

Simu Liu, who is a nominee for his performance as one of the Kens in Barbie, hosted this year’s People’s Choice Awards, which aired live on Feb. 18 at at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT simultaneously on NBC, Peacock and E! from Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar.

Among the big winners of the night were Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, which won for both movie of the year and comedy movie of the year. Meanwhile, the film’s stars Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie each won for male and female movie star of the year, respectively. America Ferrera won for movie performance of the year.

On the TV side, Grey’s Anatomy won for show of the year, with Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building winning for comedy series and The Last of Us for drama series.

Barbie lead the film nominees with nine mentions, followed by Oppenheimer, with six nods. In the TV categories, Only Murders in the Building lead with seven nods, followed by Ted Lasso, The Morning Show and The Last of Us with six noms apiece.

On the music side, Luke Combs, Nicki Minaj, Morgan Wallen and Taylor Swift were each up for five awards, with Swift nominated for her concert film The Eras Tour, which is up for movie of the year.

Adam Sandler received the People’s Icon Award at the show which was introduced by Jennifer Aniston. When taking the stage, Aniston described Sandler as her “brother from another mother” and one of the “most loyal friends you could ever ever have.”

“Being his friend has been one of the great joys of my life,” Aniston said of Sandler.

Meanwhile, Grammy winner Victoria Monét presented Lenny Kravitz with the People’s Music Icon Award.

Winners are voted on by fans in 45 categories representing movies, television, music and pop culture. For 2024, new categories have been included: male country artist, female country artist, male Latin artist, female Latin artist and concert tour.

During Sunday’s ceremony, a myriad of stars took the stage to present including Jeremy Renner, Joe Manganiello, Kathryn Hahn, Lucy Hale, Megan Fox, Sydney Sweeney and Monét.
