Problemista special screening

Writer, director and star Julio Torres debuted his A24 film in NYC on Tuesday, alongside Tilda Swinton and producer Emma Stone.

The Gentleman screening

Theo James, Kaya Scodelario and Daniel Ings attended an advance screening for their new Netflix series in L.A. on Wednesday.

Imaginary premiere

Lionsgate and Blumhouse celebrated their new horror flick in L.A. on Thursday, with star DeWanda Wise and writer-director Jeff Wadlow.

BMF premiere

The STARZ series rang in its third season on Thursday with stars Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory, Jr., Da’Vinchi, 2 Chainz, Cynthia Bailey and LaLa Anthony.

Kodak Film Awards

The sixth annual Kodak Film Awards took place on Feb. 23, honoring Killer Films, Celine Song, Ava DuVernay, Hoyte Van Hoytema, Petra Collins, Andrew Haigh and Prime Video series Swarm.

People‘s Post-SAG Awards gala

On Saturday, People hosted the official post-SAG Awards gala immediately after the show, with guests including Barbra Streisand, the cast of Oppenheimer, Lily Gladstone, Pedro Pascal, Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri and the Beef cast, as well as Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein and the cast of Ted Lasso, who showed up in matching sweatsuits.

REACH LA’s 2nd Annual Gala

REACH LA, a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and uplifting LGBTQIA+ youth of color, honored Janney Marín “Chiquis” Rivera and choreographer JaQuel Knight, best known for choreographing Beyonce’s “Single Ladies”, at its gala event in L.A. on Saturday.

IFC’s Spirit Awards afterparty

Directed and produced by OBB Media CEO Michael D. Ratner and produced by OBB Pictures, the film chronicles LAROI’s life and musical journey.

Catharsis Arts Foundation L.A. launch

Anastasia Soare hosted the L.A. launch of the Catharsis Arts Foundation with Prune Nourry on Wednesday at her home in Beverly Hills, with guests Sofía Vergara, Katie Couric, Jessica Alba, Cash Warren and Peter Dundas.

On Thursday at the El Rey Theatre, Wondery and SmartLess Media hosted a live and in-person podcast recording in support of the launch of new comedy podcast series WikiHole with host D’Arcy Carden.

Filming Italy Los Angeles

The ninth annual Filming Italy L.A. festival, showcasing the best of Italian cinema, took place this week. Veteran Italian-American film star Franco Nero was honored on closing night with the Lifetime Actor’s Achievement Award, presented by Dolph Lundgren.

For the Love of Our Children Gala

The National CARES Mentoring Movement held its 9th annual For the Love of Our Children Gala celebrating three women who have devoted themselves to uplifting Black children and Black communities: Dr. Trisha Bailey, Susan Taylor Batten and Grace Vandecruze. Hosted by Sherri Shepherd, the event included a special appearance by the evening’s honorary co-chair, Courtney B. Vance and performances by Kenny Lattimore and DJ Daychia Sledge.
