Antonio Brown continues to poke at Shannon Sharpe’s alleged sexual orientation as a gay man, this time by sharing a NSFW meme involving a stovetop and sex toys.
On Wednesday (May 1), the former Pittsburgh Steeler took to social media to share a photo of a pan on a stove, filled with steaming water and a dildo, intended to look like male penises being cooked.
“Shannon Sharpe cooking up his favorite homemade recipe,” Brown captioned the post, adding the hashtag #CTESPN, seemingly a reference to many fans’ and pundits’ belief that his erratic behavior is a result of suffering from the progressive degenerative disease.
This is not the first time Brown has targeted Sharpe with jokes about his sexuality, as he previously reacted to a viral clip of Sharpe by deeming the ESPN First Take analyst is “gay” while also accusing him of using steroids. After Brown continued to disparage Sharpe with demeaning posts on social media, Sharpe responded by blocking the former All-Pro wide receiver on X.
Earlier this year, Sharpe addressed the trend of comedians and social media personalities insinuating that he’s gay or portraying him in an overtly feminine manner. According to the NFL Hall of Famer, the focus on his alleged sexual preference is a byproduct of a lack of material on their part.
“They using the same joke,” he said during an episode of his Nightcap podcast at the time. “But at some point in time it’s gon’ get old and people are going to get tired of y’all saying that Shannon gay, and Shannon this, and you going to have to get back to telling jokes. Please tell me you’re not running out of jokes.”
