Enterprise EMS celebrated with official Emergency Medical Services Week

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Mayor William E. Cooper has proclaimed May 19-25 as Emergency Medical Services Week in Enterprise to celebrate the city’s EMS, who are “ready to provide lifesaving care to those in need, 24 hours a day.”

Enterprise is one of many cities making extra efforts to recognize and appreciate the thousands of hours of special training and effort their EMS Men and Women work to provide a safer city. Mayor Cooper made the announcement surrounded by members of the Enterprise Fire Department, who were dispatched to 2,983 medical calls in 2023.

“Access to quality emergency care dramatically improves the survival and recovery rate of those who experience sudden illness or injury,” Cooper said. “It is appropriate to recognize the value and the accomplishments of emergency medical services.”
