Entergy Arkansas celebrates Remmel Dam’s 100th anniversary
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Past and present leaders of Entergy Arkansas gathered on Tuesday to celebrate 100 years of the Remmel Dam.
Remmel was the first dam to be constructed on the Ouachita River and has been supplying safe and reliable hydroelectric power for the Natural State for a full century.
A dedication ceremony was held Tuesday morning, along with a pop-up museum of artifacts, information and photos.
The ceremony recognized Remmel Dam’s place in Arkansas’ history and its long relationship in providing power to Entergy Arkansas.
