New England Patriots’ Super Bowl Comeback Will Receive The Hollywood Treatment
Tom Brady engineered the largest comeback in Super Bowl history against the Atlanta Falcons when he faced a 28-3 deficit about halfway through the third quarter. You’ve probably heard the story time and time again how the Falcons blew the game and the Patriots capitalized to go on to win in dramatic fashion, 34-28 in overtime. Now, nobody will forget the Patriots’ story, as it reportedly will be turned into a movie and a book.
Two Hollywood writers, Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson, are collaborating on a script for a movie that will focus on Tom Brady and the Patriots’ triumph beginning with “Deflategate” in 2014 with Brady’s suspension and falling out with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, culminating in the epic comeback Super Bowl LI win in Houston, Texas. Tamasy and Johnson have history together, the two teamed up to pen the story for Patriots Day, which gave an in-depth look at the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.
Seattle Seahawk fans are not getting off easy either. Patriots cornerback, Malcolm Butler’s story will also receive the Hollywood treatment. From working in a fast-food restaurant to making game-winning interceptions in the Super Bowl, his biopic will reportedly be titled The Secondary.

It’s safe to say these ventures won’t sell very well in the Atlanta area. Release dates for the films are not yet known.
