LONDON (AP) — England has included left-arm spinner Simon Kerrigan in its 14-man squad for the second test against India at Lord's, starting Thursday.
The 25-year-old Kerrigan has been capped once before at test level against Australia, and was smashed for 53 runs from eight overs.
England does not have a frontline spinner, with Moeen Ali having been its only option in the lost two-test series against Sri Lanka and the first test against India, which finished in a draw on Sunday.
Chris Jordan, who was replaced by Ben Stokes for the match against India, is also included.
Alastair Cook, Moeen Ali, James Anderson, Gary Ballance, Ian Bell, Stuart Broad, Chris Jordan, Simon Kerrigan, Liam Plunkett, Matt Prior, Sam Robson, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Chris Woakes.
